Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy explains how G-Steel, s.r.o. (“we”, “us”, “our”) processes and protects your personal data in accordance with Regulation
(EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR) and Slovak Act No. 18/2018
Coll. on the Protection of Personal Data.

2. What is personal data?

Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (e.g., name, surname, email, phone number, location data, online identifiers).

3. What data do we process?

We process only the data you provide directly or that are necessary for the provision of our services, including:

  • Identification and contact details (name, address, email, phone number)
  • Data required for contract performance (orders, payment details)
  • Data provided via email, phone, or online forms
  • Data from job applicants: CVs, qualifications, certificates, references, and other information necessary to assess suitability for job positions

4. Legal basis for processing

Your personal data are processed based on:

  • Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) – provision of services, processing of payments, fulfilment of contractual obligations
  • Legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) – e.g., accounting and tax requirements
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) – e.g., sending marketing information or storing a CV for future job offers
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) – recruitment management, customer communication, social media management

5. Purpose of processing

We use personal data for:

  • Managing and fulfilling orders
  • Communication with partners
  • Meeting legal obligations (e.g., invoicing, archiving)
  • Marketing purposes (only with consent)
  • Operating our social media profiles
  • Recruitment – evaluating applications for projects, verifying qualifications, contacting applicants, and mediating job offers

6. Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for:

  • The duration of the contractual relationship and the fulfilment of obligations
  • Statutory retention periods (e.g., accounting, archiving)
  • Recruitment data – for the duration of the selection process; with consent, CVs may be stored longer for future job offers

After the retention period expires, the data will be securely deleted.

7. Data recipients

Personal data may be provided to:

  • Service providers (e.g., couriers, payment gateways)
  • Partner companies – for job applicants, data may be shared with companies whose projects we support
  • Public authorities, where required by law

Data are not transferred outside the EU/EEA without adequate safeguards.

We have implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.

You have the right to:

  • Access your data (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Rectify inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”) (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restrict processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Withdraw consent at any time
