G-Steel

Frequently asked questions

I am interested in working on your project abroad. What should I do?

Contact us via the form on this website or give us a call. You’ll find our phone numbers on the Contact page. We will arrange an interview with you, where you will receive all the necessary information.

What kind of pay can I expect?

The amount of pay depends on each position. It is determined by the client and will be discussed with you during the initial interview.

When will I receive my first payment?

G-Steel pays twice a month, based on the invoice you issue with a 14-day due date. If needed, we can provide an advance payment after your first week of work.

Do I need a trade license?

In most cases, yes — but not always. If you don’t have one and it is required, we will help you arrange it.

What if I don’t have the required work experience?

We usually require at least two years of practice. However, if the position allows, we provide basic training, after which you may join one of our projects abroad.

Do I need to speak a foreign language?

Not always. Basic knowledge is welcome and, for some projects, essential. You will be informed about this during the interview. In any case, we provide basic language support to make your start abroad easier.

What if I have experience but no certificate?

All workers must present valid certificates required for their position during the interview. Ideally, send them to us together with your CV when filling in the contact form.

Do I need an A1 form?

Yes. You can obtain it at your local branch of the Social Insurance Agency. It confirms that you are insured in your country of residence.

Do I need liability insurance?

This insurance is not mandatory but highly recommended, as it protects you in case of damage caused.

How long will I stay abroad?

This always depends on the duration of the project and the quality of your work. We focus mainly on long-term projects, some of which have lasted for more than four years.

Which countries do you send workers to?

We cooperate across the eurozone, with a focus on Germany, the Benelux countries, and Scandinavia.

Do I need to arrange my own accommodation?

No. Apart from applying for the A1 form personally, G-Steel arranges everything else for you.

What if I can’t get to the worksite?

In urgent cases, we offer vehicle rental so you can reach the site comfortably and on time.
